Use of repair clamp
Steel galvanized clamps are used for repair leaking pipes of water and heating supply.
Repair clamps eliminate depressurization of pipelines in case of cracks or leaks, if the size of the injury does not exceed the length of the clamp 20 mm from each edge and ⅔ of the pipe diameter.
Design of repair clamp
Repair clams are made of zinc-galvanized steel. The thickness of the body is 1 mm, the clamp sleeve — 2 mm. The clamps tightened with bolts and nuts M6 or M8. Fastening elements galvanized.
The thickness of the seal is 3 mm for clamps ½″—3″ and 5 mm for clamps 3 ½″—6″. Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is used to manufacture seal, working temperature range from −50°С to +110°С, solidification time at +140°С is 42 minutes. The seal is glued to the body. The surface sealing of the “wafer”-type.

The possible compiling of repair clamps type “crab”
Due to the design, to cover additional sizes of pipes is possible by connecting clamps of this type among themselves.
In the case of a two-part connection may overlap to 344 mm outer diameter, and in the case of connection of three clamps — up to 516 mm.
